We’ve Hit 10,000 Tests — Thank You, BodyStats Community!

From day one, the mission at BodyStats has been simple: make advanced health tracking available to everyone. Not just elite athletes. Not just people who could afford a sports science lab. Everyone. Today, we’re proud to say that mission has reached a milestone we’ve been quietly working toward since we first opened our doors — 10,000 tests completed.

To every single person who has ever lain down on one of our DEXA beds, strapped on a VO₂ mask, or trusted us with their health data — this moment belongs to you. Thank you.

How We Got Here

BodyStats started in Vancouver with a single DEXA machine and a conviction that the kind of body composition data used by Olympic programs and research institutions shouldn’t be locked behind a velvet rope. We wanted to bring clinical-grade testing to regular people — runners, parents, retirees, weekend warriors — anyone who wanted to understand what was actually going on inside their body.

The road wasn’t always smooth. Our Toronto location actually opened before our Yaletown location did — thanks to a licensing process that took over a year longer than expected. But we kept going. We added locations, upgraded our equipment (we’re soon to be the only company in North America operating both a Horizon W and a GE Lunar Prodigy DEXA unit), and quietly kept showing up for every person who booked a test.

What 10,000 Tests Actually Represents

Ten thousand tests means we’ve scanned over 1.5 million pounds of human body across Vancouver and Toronto. It means we’ve accumulated enough real-world data to build tools that actually reflect our community — like our updated free body fat calculator, now powered by data from real BodyStats scans rather than generic military formulas. It means we’ve seen patterns emerge: how body composition shifts with age, the difference in RMR between men and women, how training over decades really does change the body in measurable ways.

More than the data, it represents 10,000 moments of clarity for real people. The client who finally understood why the scale wasn’t moving. The 84-year-old who took up weightlifting and watched their numbers change. The athlete who discovered their VO₂ Max had plateaued — and used that insight to train smarter. Every test told a story.

A Community Built on Honesty

One thing we’ve never wavered on: if you want a test but genuinely can’t afford it, reach out. Slide into our DMs. We’ll figure it out. Our mission isn’t to maximize revenue — it’s to make this kind of health tracking accessible, full stop. We read every single comment and review, and we implement the changes you ask for. That’s not a marketing line. It’s just how we operate.

We’ve been humbled by the support of coaches, trainers, dietitians, and healthcare providers who recommend us to their clients. And we’ve been moved by the stories people share — from major health transformations to small wins that meant everything to someone. You’ve made BodyStats what it is.

What’s Next

We’re not slowing down. Our new Yaletown space is open, our data keeps getting richer, and we have updates in the works that we’re genuinely excited to share with you soon. The goal remains the same as it was on day one — just bigger.

Words from Eric: I actually had this page up for three days before anyone signed up, haha. But I was super happy when someone finally booked the first appointment — then we got like 10 more right after. To the person who actually read through this whole article and shared it with your friends, thank you. We’ve extended the Toronto (just Toronto) giveaway until April 15th. We have a limit of 10 spots per day. Please send this to as many friends as possible!

For those who take part, we simply ask that you leave a Google review. It is not required, but it helps us out a lot and keeps us doing things like this in the future. Also I love reading them 🙂
