What to Expect During Your Appointment

Arrival

Upon arriving at BodyStats, you’ll be warmly greeted by our front desk staff. We recommend that you arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to ensure a smooth process. During this initial phase, we will collect some essential information from you, including your fitness goals for the scan. We also require you to fill out a consent form that explains the procedure and addresses any concerns you might have. This is a great time to ask questions and clarify any doubts with our knowledgeable staff.

During the Scan

The DEXA scan itself is a quick and painless procedure, typically taking only 3 to 6 minutes to complete. You will be asked to lie flat on a comfortable scanning table, remaining as still as possible to ensure accuracy. Our state-of-the-art DEXA machine will then perform a low-dose X-ray that passes through your body, measuring body composition, including muscle and fat. Our trained technician will be with you throughout the procedure, ensuring your comfort and safety. It is very important not to wear any metal such as zippers.

After the Scan

Once the scan is complete, that is it! You will receive a comprehensive email with your data within the day. If you’d like to go over the results we can schedule a zoom meeting with one of our experts!
