Strength test
Strength testing
Isometric tests on force plates and handheld dynamometers that measure how hard you can push, pull and grip, and whether your left and right sides match.

What you get
Peak force
The most force you can produce in a full-body pull or push, in newtons and relative to your body weight.
Left vs right
Side-to-side differences in each test, which can point to an old injury or a weak spot worth training.
Muscle by muscle
Quick tests for your hips, knees, shoulders and grip, so you can see which muscles lead and which lag.
How the test works
Warm up
A short warm-up and a practice rep for each test, so you know what a full effort feels like.
Push, pull, squeeze
Each test is a few seconds of maximum effort against a plate or sensor that does not move.
Your numbers
We show your peak force and left-right balance right after, so you have a baseline to beat next time.
Why it matters
A DEXA scan tells you how much muscle you have. Strength testing tells you what that muscle can do.
- See if new muscle is turning into strength
- Catch left-right imbalances before they become a problem
- Track rehab and training with numbers, not guesswork

Questions
When can I book?
Strength testing is coming soon. Contact us and we will let you know when bookings open.
What does isometric mean?
Your muscles work as hard as they can against something that does not move, like pushing into a wall. There is no weight to lift or drop, and you control how hard you push.
Do I need to be strong or experienced?
No. The test measures where you are today, whether you are just starting out, training for a sport or coming back from an injury.
How does it work with a DEXA scan?
A DEXA scan shows how much muscle you carry and where. Strength testing shows how much force that muscle produces. Together they show whether new muscle is turning into real strength.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothes you can move in and running shoes. Skip hard training the day before for your best numbers.
